Scotweb is Scotland's leading online heritage store. We're in the middle of a growth spurt, and need someone to help with the task of editing and adding to our online product range.
The main things we are looking for are good keyboard skills (fast and accurate) combined with good spelling and numeracy (with English as your first language). Creative language skills (e.g. for writing descriptions) would be a real bonus. And whilst you'll have full training and supervision, you will also need good organisational skills, and be self-motivated and able to manage your own workload.
We're a small team with a generally friendly atmosphere, where we all tend to help each other out to get the job done. Your job description may well change from one day to the next according to priorities, so flexibility is important. In return you get a job that's rarely the same from one day to the next, and where we'll help you develop and try to make best use of any other skills you bring with you.
You'll be working normal 9-5 Monday-Friday hours with only very rare overtime demands. We're budgeting £15.5k for this role, unless you have truly exceptional additional skills in which case there may be room for negotiation. (Please state any additional expectations when applying.)
