Maintenance Technician

Brightwork Limited is recruiting for a Permanent Maintenance Technician covering Scotland on a mobile basis.

The successful candidate can be based anywhere however a large portion of the work will be in the Edinburgh / Lothians and Perth and Kinross areas

The role involves surveying and reporting on the condition of various areas of the premises that our client manages.

You will carry out adjustments and minor repairs as found during the surveys and be responsible for managing sub-contractors as and when required on larger repairs.

The main duties and responsibilities include:

* Health check inspections, asset labelling and completing the reports for these as required
* Maintenance and repair work as required- Lead engineer working with sub-contractors heading up a team on a large project to single man remedial projects etc.
* Fire stopping work as required- Lead engineer working with sub-contractors heading up a team on a large project to single man remedial projects etc.
* Supervision of subcontracted electrical work (fire alarms/emergency lighting/fire dampers) as required
* Surveying for installations as required
* Reporting on a daily basis to Contracts Team Leader/Service Scheduler

Person Specification

* Comfortable in a customer facing role
* Good communicator
* Competent in the use of Excel and Word
* Prepared to travel (Role would cover Scotland and north England)
* Flexible approach to working hours
* Able to read and understand construction drawings
* Full Driving Licence
