Out and About Child-Minder’s are looking for a Childcare Apprentice to join their small Child-Minders set in a Family home in Charminster, to complete their Level 2 Childcare Qualification with a Child-Minders voted as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted.
The ideal candidate will be patient, empathetic, enthusiastic and will enjoy being outside with the Children in all weathers for a variety of activities.
Your Duties/ Responsibilities will include:
- Creating a warm, friendly and stimulating atmosphere in which children can develop emotionally, socially and educationally
- Assist with setting up different activities for the children
- Change nappies
- Prepare snacks
- Cleaning within the home
- Observing, Monitoring, evaluating and reporting on their progress of each of the children
- To ensure the safety & wellbeing of the children at the time
- Ensure that all procedures and guidelines are followed at all times.
The ideal candidate will have a grade C or above in both English & Maths GCSE’s.
You will work a minimum of 30 hours per week (ideally between 30 and 40 hours per week) with the hours available between 8am-6pm, Monday-Friday.
In the event that the candidate would like to progress onto an Advanced Level Children and Young People Apprenticeship (Level 3) it is essential they have grades A*-C in GCSE English and Maths as these are required upon completion of the Level 3.
