So our basement flat in Hither Green has a cosy, furnished double room available for rent (would include a brand new bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers). If you would prefer the room unfurnished that is fine too (rent would then be £600 a month).
There is a shared living room, kitchen and bathroom, all of good size to make yourself at home in. There is also a lovely, large, communal garden with access to a small shed.
The rent would cover all bills, including access to unlimited high speed wifi and Virgin media tv in the shared living room.
We have the added bonus of having an alarm system fitted to the property and very friendly neighbours :)
Hither Green station is about a 10 minute walk away, Lewisham is just under 15 minutes and also has access to the DLR. (Plus it's classed as zone 2 rather than zone 3 if you're looking for a cheaper commute). There is a Lidl, Sainsbury's and Tesco's all within walking distance too.
You would be moving in with myself and my boyfriend who are fairly easy-going people and are looking for someone similarly laid back. We unfortunately can't accept another couple as the lease is restricted to three tenants. My boyfriend loves music and is a keen photographer, I am a graphic designer who is a tv show nerd. Another creative person would be a bonus but not a necessity, we ideally would like someone who is chilled out, enjoys a bit of company, considerate with house chores/paying the bills on time and is willing to try some of the kitchen concoctions that we make from time to time :) We like being sociable but totally respect the need for privacy too.
This room is officially available from the beginning of July but the current flatmate who will be moving is flexible if you need to move in earlier/later.
We would need a first months rent plus security deposit to secure the room and our landlord would need to carry out a reference check.
